I'm thinking this stuff aired on a regional basis and were not national, except the Hasbro-connected stuff.

The Secret Wars toys should have had a lot more promotion.

of course nowadays, it's expensive to advertise on TV, even cable, so I suspect TV ads will be scarce now. I guess a company like Marvel wants to lean more into social media now and getting hits and shares and viral views.

Fantastic Four #1 is getting a TV spot!

In addition, retailers and readers are advised to be lookout for a nationwide TV spot that will air in prime time the weekend following the release of FANTASTIC FOUR #1 on August 8th!

Gotta admit, the G.I. Joe commercials are my favorite, due to the hilarious song lyrics each villain receives. "Evil Master of disguise, ZARTAN!" LOL
"The White Queen welcomes you, TO DIE!"

I don't remember seeing any comic book commercials as a kid, and I warched a lot of Saturday morning cartoons during the mid and late 70s through the early 80s. As previously mentioned, they likely aired only in certain markets. For those who did see them, it would be interesting to know where you were living, the time period, and whether the commercials were on over-the-air network or cable TV.

They were all over transformers, he-man and gijoe commercials in syndication. Look up some of the ad breaks on youtube and you may find some!

I have a bozo episode from the 80s tapped as a kid and it has a transformers comic ad in the commercial break!

They may have showed up more on he-man and thundercats over network saturday shows like smurfs and pac-man.

Many aired in the early 80s up to the early 90s! 70s did get some like the ones posted plus a spider-man and hulk ad and a amazing friends one shot ad! (both used to be on youtube but were yanked for copyrights!)

They did air the 80s ones as i loved watching them as a kid! No doubt about that! I watched alot of 80s action syndication cartoons and usa cartoon express!

    Here is another joe one.
