THE CBR COMMUNITY STANDARDS & RULES ~ So... what's your excuse now?
Wow, I would never have guessed that that would be the top cover. But it is a very cool drawing. Congrats to nx01a.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Yeah, me neither. Definitely a kind of weird and crazy pic. Well done nx01A!
No love for my Wallace Wood Daredevil cover
Ones that really stood out for me, other than my first choice of Jack Sparling's beautifully painted cover of "House of Secrets #97" which Old School Ollie 1962 posted, were Steranko's "Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD#3" posted by Shalla Bal, Kirby's & Sinnott's "Fantastic Four #84" posted by PaulBullion (which I thought would be the favourite) and J.H.Williams III"s "The Sandman Overture #2" posted by The Celtic Batman. Overall, very high quality covers posted.
Congrats to nx01a. And what had WestPhillyPunisher learned from this week's contest? That a mossy version of Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle would be so popular with the voters!
Avatar: Here's to the late, great Steve Dillon. Best. Punisher. Artist. EVER!
No love for Sporr either... Beware the revenge of that mighty Kirby monster!
More important, while we are still alive, congrats nx01a! Great cover! Great victory!

Yeah, it is ahhhhh..unique. Spiders creep me out
I was browsing for covers when my first pick was already taken and I almost picked the House of Secrets #97 cover too! Shalla Bal's cover was also on my radar but she got to it right away also. All of these you mentioned were in my top five, particularly the Wally Wood Daredevil! My Dad bought that for us kids years ago and my brother still has it. It's probably why most of my covers lean towards Marvel.
Nevertheless.....
CONGRATULATIONS nx01a!!!
Years later, after I started buying comics on my own from ye old Spinner Racks, I found a pristine copy of Daredevil #7, featuring the epic battle with the Sub-Mariner. This was still before comic book shops were in my area and some years after Wally Wood had left Marvel. I could never figure out why that Rexall Drug store in my neighborhood had a slot on the rack of Daredevil #7's. It wasn't a reprint issue either as far as I can tell. It's like they may have suddenly found them in the company warehouse somewhere.
Thanks for the vote Shalla Bal!
Thank you nx01a for your vote as well, and congrats on your well-earned win!

Congrats nx01a! Great cover & you got my vote :-)
But Tami, OldSchoolOllie voted for me, he just didn't 'bold' it... That's my first vote for weeks.... It has to count... For... Something... ;-)
We're all the Doom Patrol!!!
Opinions come in all shapes and sizes.
But they're still just opinions yo
Congratulations to nx01a for a cover which combined horror, science-fiction and medieval lore. It was an example of an underappreciated run which helped to expand our enjoyment of a comic series.
And what have i learned this week? The captain is disappointed as he missed out on sand castles. He expected to see covers of beach scenes with strapping young men and bikini clad women. Perhaps we're growing up. No bikinis, no frogs. I might actually need to have independent thought and fresh ideas and...
Nah. Sorry, the learning centers of the captain's brain have taken this week off.
My first win! Thanks, y'all.
I'll post the next cover contest within the hour.
