Who should take over Bendis's books?

I maintain that Chelsea Cain would be ideal for Jessica Jones. Mockingbird was critically-praised, and Cain actually loves writing dark ****. She's also a close friend of Bendis, so there'd be something rather sweet about her taking over her friend's character.

Idk, what if she makes a retcon where Jessica wasn't actually raped by Killgrave, but on that relationship willingly and the whole rape thing was made up?...

Chelsea Cain is a great call. Didn't think of that one. I think the tone could definitely shift if Mockingbird is anything to go by, but I don't think the book would lose what makes Jessica Jessica.

Defenders - I could see Soule or Walker taking this book over pretty solidly, though losing Marquez will probably be a big hit. Definitely someone who's versed in writing street-level and street-level heroes.

I wouldn't be surprised if he did given how much he's followed Bendis on books (although that's true for a lot of Bendis artists).

I mean, Jessica's story is pretty much built on what Killgrave did to her. So I doubt Cain would do any retcons on it. Especially because, as I said, she and Bendis are friends, she respects him, and she would want to do right by his baby.

Wouldn't necessarily be that big a tonal shift. It's not like everything she writes has to be like Mockingbird. She can do darker and more cynical.

Jessica Jones wasn't raped by Killgrave. That's explicitly stated in Alias. He made her watch as he raped others, but never actually raped her.
