XMEN RED: Predict the Cast

Jean: Team leader, obvi.
Siryn: Still the avatar of the Morrigan, Siryn adds a mystical connection, something the X-Men always need, as well as a varied suite of powers based around a little-resisted energy type.
Crystal: Fresh off of her adventures in space, Crystal realizes that her people desperately need to mend fences with the mutant population. Jean, having missed the whole IvX debacle, gives her a chance, and a place on the team.
Shatterstar: Team teleporter and melee specialist, with a hail mary energy power. Plus, Rictor would be there as a support character.
Mystique: No longer axcrazy thanks to Psylocke, and intriqued by what Jean's return means, she joins, and willingly submits to a mental bond with Jean - no secrets...or so she lets Jean think. But what happens when she actually comes to believe in Jean's mission...?
Rachel: She has a chance to bond with her mom. This one is easy.

Coincidentally, all of them are redheads.

This one sounds really interesting to me.

Btw why no one has Scott on their roster? Any particular reason?

Yes. Scott is my number one, but he needs to be away from the XMEN. If it were up to me, he'd be alive, presumed dead by XMEN, and passing off as an Erik The Red/Corsair-type while leading the Starjammers. Jean needs time to shine on her own.

That depends a lot on the team's mission.

But some characters are sure as Logan 616 or Xavier.

Personally I would like characters attached to Jean or close friends as the original adult X-mens but Bobby and Beast are at a different time in their lives keeping a distance from the X-mens. Rachel, Cable and Storm are good candidates too.

I also would not mind if she was the instructor of some young mutants training the new generation of X-mens.

I just hope this team has a mission and it's not just a random thing going on facing old enemies. We need more than nostalgia right now.

More wishful thinking, than predicting. Any or... all, rotating, would be ideal. If I had to choose, 'cause most the others are already in use. Gotta admit, Lorna, Ali, and/or Dani would blow my mind, even in just guest spots. Prolly won't happen tho, highly doubt THAT, too good to be true.

Also, we GOTTA get Jean outta that damn outfit, it's hideous.

Two young mutants whose comic history took place mostly after Jean was gone. Dust would be cool. Maybe Rockslide if he's around.

I really hope Logan doesn't join since Laura really needs to be part of a x-men team title especially since she's only got her solo series currently which is all new wolverine and with this new x-men red series coming it would be just perfect since the writer is the same writer whose been writing Laura's solo series all new wolverine.

I agree with you but confess would be very surprised if Marvel did not do this. The return of Logan and Xavier and Jean at the same time is no coincidence and has a great appeal of nostalgia .

Cannonball is ruled out due to Avengers No Surrender. And it's safe to say Kitty isn't involved too, because she's in Gold.

Honestly I doubt many will agree but it would be cool to see Emma Frost, Logan, Scott, and Jean back on the same team. Bringing in Storm and maybe two others.
