It's quite common for teens to be confused of their sexuality -- hell, if you're 16 or 65, one can still be confused and still trying to figure it out (for example, the WWE's Pat Patterson didn't come out until he was 77, and was still trying to figure out his attractions decades after he retired from wrestling). You could think you're gay as a teenager and then come out of it being 100% straight, or vice versa, but in those internal struggles, there's a lot of uncertainty. Only you can decide how to process it.

The "It Gets Better" videos were trying to tell queer teens that it's okay to be queer, that teens who were questioning themselves have every right to self-determination, and that whether they were gay, straight, or anything else, that it would get better for them once they figure things out on their own terms.

What Ratner did was remove that from her. If she were straight, that type of pressure is extremely hurtful -- but as a lesbian, it hurts even further because then you're further isolated. And this sort of thing would happen in high schools, workplaces, and countless Thanksgiving dinners. Schools create Gay-Straight Alliance student groups precisely because of that sort of thing. Whether she knew at the time of her sexuality or not, Ratner was incredibly abusive in forcing the issue. That's up to Page and Page alone, regardless of her sexuality.
If she didnt know she was gay, how does Brett know?

Like i've been saying from the start, this just sounds like a rude joke that turned out to be true.

If the story was that she confided in him and he just spits it out then we do have an issue. But the story so far is the dude making a low brow joke.

And now the release of the WW sequel has been moved up a month earlier.
so some one setup a trap?

Now the story will likely be endless interviews asking her how could she work with that company if she doesnt actually do it.

uggh, really..I already told one friend. I hate being a part of spreading misinformation.

    Default Guggenheim

Looks like we have another X-Men Gold scandal! Apparently Guggenheim is a sexist bigot, and covered for others' misdemours. As Kitty would say, he's a jerk!
Hey Friends & #Arrow Fans just want to say I worked for @mguggenheim & he hates women, LOVES white male victimhood, was 100% aware of all of Kreisberg's missteps. Jealous, if anything. Told me he couldn't promote me bc there was "too much estrogen in the room already." #metoo

It explains so much and I think we're all idiots for not realizing that that was why his female characters are so poorly handled. I hope he gets pushed off of Gold at the least, hoping for him get pushed out of Arrow might be a bit optimistic.

If CW drops him, so will Marvel... Looks like we'll be getting a new writer eventually.

If enough people make a stink about it, Marvel won't even have to wait for CW. Remember, we'd still have Syaf if his shittiness hadn't been exposed and then spread to so many people.

I've suspected as much judging by his writing of Arrow's female characters and now poor Storm.

Someone has been threading all of Guggenheim's bad behaviour.

Of course Marvel let this creep work on the flagship book of their minority metaphor comic, going out of his way to diminish and deny the role of queer people and women of color (straightwashing Rachel and Kitty and humiliating Storm).

shouldn't the question be, "how do you work with Ben Affleck?"

Guggie? When did we start calling him that, and why wasn't I informed?

I still remember the almost Havok-like speech he gave Kitty on the first issue...
