Mark Paniccia has also said that either Gambit or Rogue is a main part of this book.

Jean's costume looks much less chunky under Asrar's pencils. Good.
Namor? I thought he liked blondes. It'll be fun seeing Jean interact with his highness.
Gentle? Wow. Cashing in tangentially on Black Panther?
X-23? Good. I look forward to their relationship.
Nightcrawler? Two of the X-Men's hearts on the same team? There MUST be conflict! Plus they've both been resurrected. Quest for Nightcrawler's soul?

Not that **I** don't think they can't co-exist, but now that it is confirmed Trinary is totally a new character I sort of feel like that means RIP Monet and to a much lesser extent (because of the movie and not of recent exposure) RIP Moonstar.

The only time that the X-forums didn't complain about a line-up was Cable's "The Newer Mutants" team. Heck, it even got even praised... Even though there not the real versions of the characters! IMHO that's how you do a line-up, but using the real versions of course. A character that has been alive all this time, and has been in different teams. You don't put a character that has been dead more than 10 years, and then assemble a team with strangers, and only just putting one character that had an okay status friendship in the past.
I can guaranteed you that if this was Kitty's X-Team, I don't think nobody would of complain here (I think). Same with Jean. If Jean would of gotten Kitty's team no complaints here. I think that would of made much more sense, IMO. Well, Nightcrawler won that one, lol.
