What an odd cast. I'll check out at least the first arc.

Gentle: I'm glad that they chose to bring back one of the NXM kids. I don't recall him having a lot of focus or development, so pretty much a blank slate in terms of personality. Isn't he one of those characters whose powers harm him when he uses them though? Not a fan of that trope.

Namor: I just find it hard to believe that he would care to involve himself with the X-Men and their bullshit. Really would have preferred Northstar.

Nightcrawler: If I'm being honest I haven't really found Kurt interesting since early Excalibur, and even then only in small doses. It takes a really good writer to get me to care about him.

Trinary: Best costume of the bunch.

Wolverine: If the book absolutely has to have a Wolverine, Laura is the best option. Glad it's not one of the Logans.

Gabby: Nothing against the character, but I don't really understand putting a child on a roster with only adults. Hopefully she's more of a mascot, similar to Jubes in the early '90s, where she appears occasionally but isn't really a team member. Saw something upthread about her getting a codename, she could take Talon, Laura never really used it.

There goes my dreams of Jean pulling together her rag tag group of x-men again like Northstar, Dazzler, and Frenzy.

That would have been awesome. I'm excited to see Nightcrawler and Gentle on a team, but would have much preferred Northstar to Namor.

Adding Joanna Cargill/Frenzy or Pauli Provenzano/Omerta to the team would have just been icing.

Eh, not trying to be a downer here, but this lineup is underwhelming to me. I like Laura, I like Nightcrawler, but this is an odd team. Maybe their mission statement will get me pumped, because the lineup isn't doing it.
