My preference would be to have both a Barry title AND Flash family book shipping once a month.
The fortnightly shipping since Rebirth has shown that the market can sustain it, so why not?

Wait . . . Flash is also reverting back to a once-a-month schedule (like Aquaman and Green Arrow have)? Does that mean the (U.S.) cover price is jumping to $3.99 like it is with other once-a-month books that are part of Rebirth?

It's not changing any time soon that I'm aware of, but when it does, the price will go up to $3.99 for sure.

Unless they add the Flash Family book to the schedule, keep a Flash title appearing every two weeks and keep the price point on both at $2.99!

Would you read a Barry Allen/Wally West bimonthly book?

Of course. Sounds like a good idea.

No. Becuase I would just pick-up the Barry stories and I would rather that Barry's stories come out twice a month like they are now.

Ha. Funnily enough, I'd do the same thing, but I'd just buy the Wally issues.

In that regard, I think it's a decent compromise for this particular divided fanbase.

Honestly, I would rather Wally get his own book because I enjoy reading about Barry twice a month and both of them getting an issue twice a month would beat them sharing a book but they get one issue every month.

But that would mean the Barry fanbase would have to give up something they already have? What sort of "compromise" is that when one side has to lose something and gets nothing in return while the other side is only gaining and doesn't lose anything they currently have?

It's not a compromise made between Barry fans and Wally fans, it's a compromise DC makes on their behalf. What does DC gain by giving Wally more exposure? More Wally-exclusive Flash fans buy books at no more resource cost than DC currently expends to make the bi-monthly Barry book, obviously.

Believe it or not, as a hardcore Barry Allen fan, here's what I'd be willing to concede to Wally and his fans:

    1. The primary Flash position.

    2. Being the fastest speedster.

    3. The main FLASH comic book.

    4. The classic costume.

    In return, I ask:

    1. Do NOT EVER kill off Barry or relegate him to limbo again.

    2. Keep Barry an active speedster hero, perhaps with a different code name and costume. I'd even accept him as a depowered police scientist as long as he, his history, and his character remain intact. Just keep him around, alive, and definitely himself.

    3. An end to all the moaning and whining, "Barry is boring," "...should have stayed dead," etc.

But, who says DC has to make any Wally-exclusive books?
And why does it mean sales of a Wally-exclusive book would automatically reduce the number of copies being sold of a Barry-book?
(Couldn't people give up books from other companies like Marvel instead if they had to cut down the overall number of titles they buy? Or maybe there's a different, non-Flash DC title they decide to stop buying instead?)
And why do you keep using "compromise" since Barry fans aren't getting anything in return except less of what they already have now?

Put Wally (the third Flash) in JLA. And Martian Manhunter (where the hell is he? Nobody seems to notice that he's gone). Keep Batman away, he's in enough books.

Let Wally leave the Titans. Put Cyborg, Raven, Starfire, and Gar Logan back IN the Titans (yes, Virginia, there was a New Teen Titans, I don't care if the details are different or some stories aren't canonical or whatever, but the TEAM EXISTED, dammit). Let everyone remember the relationships they had.

Cancel Teen Titans and let all the (real) teenage and early 20s heroes be part of Young Justice. (Same idea.) The younger Wally included, of course.
