Very unfortunate news, although the writing had been on the wall for a while now. Such a shame as I only started playing MHO a few months ago. I guess I'll have to get my X-Men fix from custom content for Sims 4 now!

Sadly I've only started to play it a few months ago like you. But like you said there's always the Sims 4 CC.

Me: Oh. Uh I guess still have Marvel Heroes then?

Disney: Nope (Getting shut down).

Game was fun, I had been with it since the beginning, not Beta, just when it was open to everyone. I spent a lot of time running around as my favorite X-Men and it was worth it. I think it sucks that it was run into the ground by someone who didn't know who to keep one platform running and tried to get to console. On to the next game. I am hoping that someone can pick it up and make it as good as it was previously.

They just got added to Future Fight a few months ago. If the Fox purchase works out, we are likely to see more

Kinda sad to see it go because I had all of Jean's costumes. But the gameplay wasn't as polished as say Diablo 3 so I hardly played it after the first month.

If that's true, it's virtually a given that the game they license will NOT have the X-men or the F4. Given their absence from so much other media, especially video games, I'm not hopeful that any future product will give much opportunity to the X-men. Even if they end up buying Fox, it may be a LONG time before we can play a video game with the X-men again.

Uh, Future Fight added X-Men... they're not banned from games any more, unlike the F4.

I was reading that them jumping to console was just one big final cash grab before they ultimately closed. I unfortunately gave them over $128 just to get most of the characters, but I really didn't like the gameplay all that much, so I tapped out of it.

I enjoyed the game for a while, but in the last year the new content really slowed to a crawl. It's sad to see it go, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Saw it coming years ago when the staff grew hostile on the forums. I was a part of the purge of players who asked questions about staff quiting, lack of content and noticing that if you weren't whiteknighting Gaz you were punished. Mostly with bans.

Spent about $150 over the years on the original MH. Their prices are even more insane and the old Gaz love isn't there.

I started reading comics because of this game. It's a pity.
