At the end of the day we’re all Thor fans. Even within that nitch of comic book fandom we would all kinda like different things. There has been and always will be a variety of stories and you can’t make everyone happy all the time. Personally I’d like a more fantasy Asgard based Charles Vess story. Just kinda mash the Raven Banner together with Walt Simonson’s run. Ain’t happening anytime soon or probably ever. Someone else wants something cosmic. Someone else wants a retrospective on what it means to be a god. We can’t have it all at the same time.

Maybe he won't be defeated as such. It seems from the flash-forwards of previous issues that Asgardia gets destroyed. What does Mangog do when he has achieved his objective?
