    http://www.doctorwhonews.net/2020/05...s-release.html

Details on the first couple of Timelord Victorious books. Seems like the Doctor has gone all Anakin Skywalker stop-death-itself.

Maybe perhaps this is set between Water Of Mars & End Of Time, and possibly not quite an alternate timeline? Maybe the Doctor's kind of megalomania lasts a bit longer before he's relatively back to normal in "End of Time" (as well as his part of "Day of the Doctor") and his past selves have to step in to bring him back to sanity? (Although that sounds a bit like the War Doctor's arc in "Day of the Doctor" a bit too much)

They're doing a fourth & Tenth Doctor team-up with Big Finish as well.

    https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2...er-doctor-who/

Looks like this takes place after "Water of Mars" for the Tenth, and presumably before "Face of Evil" for the Fourth. Looks like it'll also be the start of a series of just two Doctors team-up, as opposed to a lot of other ones which seems to unite more of the actors.

"Name of the Doctor" showed the Second and Eighth Doctors together pass Clara, I wonder if that's a possibility (with of course whoever they have portraying the second Doctor).

Second/Fourth and Third/Fourth are also combinations I don't think we've seen either, if Tom is interested.

Big finish implements a new system in 2022. Every Doctor they can use gets their own range.

to be honest with you, I never quite understood the "monthly range" setup and kinda treated it as if every Doctor had their own range anyway.

Ah and according to one of the links at the bottom of your link, the Eric Roberts Master is getting a spin-off.

Yeah I'm curious about it too. Roberts got a bad rep because of the movie but I dug his appearances in Ravenous.

...he was in Ravenous? I only know about the Diary of River Song ep. Er, range? Whatever the terminology is.

And agreed. I felt he was in line with Ainsley's portrayal, frankly, in the TV Movie. Maybe more people want the Master to be similar to Delgado?

Ravenous 4 was the boxset he appeared in- specifically episodes 3 and 4 "The Day of The Master".

Yeah delgado set the standard for the Master and people have been clamoring for a more serious sophisticated Master.

I think some of the costuming didn't help Robert's Master. The big jacket and sunglasses were a bit goofy, and seemed like they were going for a Terminator thing.

The time lord get-up doesn't do him any favors either. I'm hoping they give him a new outfit like the War Master.

Saw this the other day. Splitting the monthly range and giving each Doctor their own range is something I have wanted for a while now. It just seemed out of place for 5, 6 and 7 to be lumped together while 3, 4, 8, War and 10 got their own ranges.

The press release mentions doing this means they can play with story lengths/formats. Which is something else that I have wanted as well. If this means what I think it does, we might get episode lengths that resemble how they were in each Doctor's era. 5 would get stories of 2 & 4 episodes. 6 will get 2x 60 minutes for stories set before or around season 22, while 2 & 4 episodes for stuff after season 23. While 7 will have 3 & 4 episode stories.

The monthly range will reach 275. For those coming into Big Finish seeing that number is daunting. With this, people can just get the Doctor who interests them the most.

Makes me wonder how long it is until the Early Adventures are wrapped up and the 1st and 2nd Doctor's are given their own "range".

It comes out in 2022 so that could be the cut off point.

A trio of 8th doctor stories and two Master centered short trips are announced for October. They tie into the "Time Lord Victorious" event.

Have they explained how Eric's master survived? I think the TV series seemed to indicate that he was "ressurected" from the Time War after the TV movie death, but I guess it's possible the "Bruce" body survived (or that was the body that was ressurected, although somehow the Master got fresh regenerations), and the Master that died and was ressurected (as the bald master from the audio line?) might've been yet another incarnation.

I'm pretty sure Ainley's Master, for instance, had a few "permanent" deaths to with no explanation when he came back. Of course it was assumed for a bit that Simm's Master and Missy were gone for good as well here and there, although that was explained in both cases.

It was explained in his segment of the River Song series where she faced four of the Masters separately (Missy, Jacobi, Decayed, and "Bruce"). It tied directly into the movie but I've heard it conflicts with NuWho somehow...

Anyway directly from the wiki (since I'll mess it up trying to explain it myself):
"As the Eye of Harmony tried to break him down into pure energy, the Master managed to ride the energy into a spare room, which the Doctor's TARDIS then ejected into the Time Vortex to protect the Doctor. The Master would remain stranded in the vortex for hundreds of years, rooting through the Doctor's possessions in search of something to help him escape."
