I don't mind the silliness, I just don't feel like it should be an event like Time Lord Victorious. It just feel like a regular episode.
But maybe the story summaries will change my mind.

There was a big gap between season 12 and Flux (Probably in part due to Covid), guess it's something for WHO fans to enjoy in the meantime (Not sure how soon Ncuti's season is coming after the specials).

It feels like a big finish boxset waiting to happen.
Although Doctor Who has featured alternate universes-and implied the Doctor actually is from one to begin with-I don't think the TV show, at least has really done anything with the idea of there being Doctors in another universe (Apart from maybe the dead one from the Turnleftverse?) who didn't originate from the "prime" one (The metacrisis clone in Pete's world). I think it's implied Merlin from BATTLEFIELD was possibly an alternate version.
Novels/audios etc. have of course had fun with the concept. Apart from UNBOUND, In the recent Ace novel, Childhood's End, Ace during her travels with the Seventh, touches some kind of time thingy which shows her conflicting futures (Including a few deaths) from various WHO media. Of course it came out a year or so before POWER OF THE DOCTOR, which contradicts it so Ace's vision doesn't include that (It contradicts the "present day" Ace part of CH since POTD seems to state it's the first time she's met the Thirteenth).

I don't mind alternate universes but I'm not sure there should be Time Lords native to each universe. The New 52 had the right idea keeping the New Gods seperate. So I'd do the same with the Time Lords. It would make them more mythic.
There used to be some stuff in the old novels that all the god-like superbeings in classic WHO (Fenric, Great Intelligence, Animus, Nestene, Guardians, Toymaker etc) were the Time Lords (or something similar) of a previous universe (Similar to the Galactus origin).

Big Finish already established that there are alternative universes with alternate versions of the Time Lords and the Doctor, though my belief is that periods like Division/Timeless Child and the Last Great Time War condensed nearly all versions of Gallifrey into a single continuity. I see it a bit like DC with the various Crisis events - reality rebooting whilst Gallifrey remains relatively untouched or detached, save very time sensitive races like the Daleks.
I have a theory time travel might be illegal on Gallifrey. I mean traveling to Gallifrey's past obviously not time traveling thru the universe. It's just the planet has myths and legends which seems odd for a race who mastered time travel. Now the practical reason to do this is to preserve their timeline. I mean theoretically the Doctor is constantly rewriting Earth's history. I even have a theory on 2 classic Who stories. That when the 3rd Doctor stopped the drilling in Inferno, he prevented the ecological disaster that would have led to Salamander coming to power as seen in Enemy of the World with the 2nd Doctor.
Seems like they might try to erase species that could pose a threat. According to RTD's Time War writings, this was part of their reasoning for "Genesis of the Daleks", but might have in fact started the conflict in the first place once the Daleks found out what the Time Lords tried to do.

Anybody know what's up with the American/Region 1 release of the blu-ray for season 19/Peter Davison's 1st? Seems to be out of stock everywhere while all the other ones are easily available. Was it some copyright issue (Like the Beatles thing)?

They're revealed some pictures from a 1960s set episode, showing the Doctor with a blue pinstripe suit and a short afro with sideburns, and Ruby in go-go boots. I think.
Kind of wondering if it's the same episode with Jinx Monsoon, since their costume was also revealed.
The episode is going to be set in the 60s.

I hope he keeps the suit and fro!

Seems to be mostly a 2005 forward trend of the Doctor dressing in the clothes of the time rather than just the companions, although it's still rather rare.
Even the companions sometimes didn't start out like it at first until they were invited to a party or something, due in part to the TARDIS's erratic nature (Or they dressed for the wrong place). Black Orchid for example, and a few instances with Sarah and Jo especially.
Or just cases where the companion just kind of fit in naturally. Sarah at the beginning of Masque of Mandragora doesn't look too out of place in Renaissance Italy (Although if she'd arrived in the Andy Pandy suit from the next serial then that would be weird). Also she was wearing of Victoria's old dresses which happened to fit perfectly into the Edwardian era of Pyramid of Mars.

Corden's talk show is over. Wonder if there ever is a possibility of him coming back as Craig with a teen Stormageddon down the line.
