He does make some good points.

The Eighth Doctor did have a Cyberman companion in some of his comics, although he didn't act anything like a regular Cyberman (Never felt that the earlier WHO comics kind of got that the Cybermen were intended to be emotionless....but then again, the 70s and 80's Cybermen seemed to display emotion vocally at times too...)

Maybe they could just give Eccleston a Cyberwoman companion ? .

In Audio perhaps. Although giving him too many companions before Rose might kind of hurt his TV character arc a bit.

Hopefully after this run of audios and if Billie and John are willing they can jump ahead a bit for some Nine/Rose/Jack adventures, might open things up for him a little more. Still excited for Nine interacting with the Cybermen and the Brigadier.

John would definitely be up for it if his recent comments about "I'll always go back to do more Captain Jack" is anything to go by. Billie might. Depends on the schedule and the story. I just hope that, now he has a foot in the door, Chris is open to coming back. He seems to be enjoying being back and has hinted there are certain things storywise he'd like to see Nine go through.

Agreed. One, short-term, companion beforehand is okay. But the bulk should be mostly Rose and Captain Jack. Otherwise they should be one-offs that he encounters for a story or so.
