Think they're going to vary the look a bit here and there. There's some pics from another episode that show the Doctor in a different coat and shirt I think. The 80s Who is the main outlier when it came to the Doctor's look-while the Doctors usually had a 'basic' look, they would often shift colors. Take Jon Tom for example, they had several different jackets; and of course Tennant, Smith, Capaldi had a few variants. Think Jodie mainly just had a slightly different shirt at times and the 'flipped' version in Flux, although there was the Dalek episode where she wore a scarf and Spyfall.
Even Eccleston changed the T-shirt a few times.

They’ve announced the next set of Target adaptions for New Series stories - Planet of the Ood, The Waters of Mars, The Zygon Inversion and Kerblam!
Second story of Once and Future now confirmed, it’s a team up between the Fifth Doctor and Jenny (the pair’s third encounter together, dad and daughter for the win) plus the Curator in his Sixth Doctor esqe version.

Once and Future: Past Lives comes out today.
It's a fun start to Big Finish's 60th anniversary event.

Johnathan Groff (Frozen, Hamilton, Matrix Ressurections) has been cast.
Anybody think he could make a really good master? Sort of the right mix of charm, evil, pathos and megalomania I've seen in some of his roles.
If he is the Master, perhaps he can get a finale episode without the Cybermen this time?

There's been a few other short trailers released recently for the 60th anniversary special, mainly strange images such as a venice fly trap with some backwards dialogue that have of course been reversed by fans.
The latest one "She mentioned gallifrey" doesn't necessarily mean the planet itself but maybe a reference to Donna's memories resurfacing again?
Be kind of funny if the 60th anniversary special did restore the Time Lords again because that's sort of what the 50th did (or rather, revealed they weren't really dead in the first place).

There's new pics of the Doctor, Ruby and John Groff's character all in 18th century dress.
Seems part of the new Doctor's persona might be wearing clothes that match the era, which happened occasionally with previous incarnations but mostly was something only the companions did (sometimes not intentionally; Sarah's dress in PYRAMID OF MARS just happened to suit the era but she was mainly just trying out Victoria's old stuff).
Nothing that Louise Jameson is in the Ninth Doctor anthology but not as Leela and it involves a colony, kind of curious if it possibly involves her ancestors in a "Face of Evil" prequel? Which would mean the Doctor was involved in their situation three times-on the ship as the Ninth, with their computer as (a possibly still a bit unstable from regeneration, hence Xoanon's problems) fourth, and then finally the events from "Face of Evil"

There's some speculation that Groff might be the new Captain Jack, given the Barrowman issues.
There's sort of a built-in explanation in a sense, if Jack becomes "The face of Boe" it seems like maybe he changes his appearance at some point. Maybe his healing factor develops a quirk that has him regenerate similar to the Doctor instead of remaining in the Barrowman look.

Well, didn't he get blow'd up in CoE? And only one of his body parts regrew back into Jack (the head or torso? I'll have to watch it again). A good workaround to have Jack back as played by someone else, is one of the other body parts grew into the new actor.
Though since its Groff, NuSmith from Matrix Resurrections, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the Master, either. A newly regenerated Master pretending to be a new iteration of Jack would be the icing on the cake.
If it's an 18th century location, then it's the 1790's as the dress is more first quarter of the 19th. The shoulder pads are completely wrong, about 80 years too early for that modern shape, and the doctor breeches are a little on the loose side for this general period. They did alter in fit a bit around then, but never that loose. A lady was quoted as saying back then that she preferred them tighter as "you always knew what was on their mind." But we don't want to frighten the children; or myself for that matter.
I think I'd like that for the historical Earth stories, but not the outer space ones.
