If this is legit and they are moving onto a sequel for this, that is fantastic news. Loved the last film and curious to see where the hell they'd take it from there.

Last time they did King of Comedy. Will this one be Raging Bull or Goodfellas?
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

I hope this isn't true. Joker should be a one and done movie.

That's my thinking. Plus, he was, what, in his mid-forties in the first movie? By the time Bruce is old enough to become Batman, he'll be geriatric.

I disagree. If they have a story to tell, and an audience, they should do the sequel. What's the matter if a sequel gets made, what does it take away?

A sequel is only happening because this movie grossed a billion. The film didn't leave the door open for any follow up.

Whan did they say Arthur Fleck was in he's mid 40s? Or how old he was at all?

I agree and disagree. I agree that it's getting a sequel because of how successful it did. That's pretty much true of almost every sequel ever. I disagree with the notion is didn't leave any door open for a follow up. Joker is alive, Gotham should be reeling from the riot, Bruce is just orphaned, there's plenty that can be followed up on.

His actor is in late 40s.

Doesn't mean that the character he plays is. Could be playing a character in his 50s. Never mind they could age up Batman. Never mind that the two might not fight. Never mind that Joker is never really a combat oriented foe so his age is never important.

That's how old Joaquin Phoenix is yes but do they ever say how old Arthur Fleck is? Actors play older and younger all the time.

I'm only interested if we get retro-style Batman in this film.

I'd personally prefer they save that for a theoretical third film.

I guess it would make a good post-credit scene, but again, it's the only thing that would get me interested in a second film .
