The Bogdanoff brothers, who helped promote Doctor Who in France (and appear on the cover of several French translations of Target adaptations) have both passed away.

In the special, I liked the Sara character, the Daleks, and no one else. So many stories of the recent Doctor give me the impression that the guest actors are the only real people while Doctor and 'Fam' vacillate between being either cardboard cut outs or frantically over acting monkeys.
The Doctor has encountered them so many times now that she should be able to tell whether someone has fallen victim to them or not. In any case, my argument still stands. It's overused and lazy.
Yaz: "Doctor, I think that is a car over there."
*Doctor frantically waves the sonic at the car*
Doctor: hey! you're right, Yaz! Good eye. According to the readings of the sonic, it is indeed a car.
That is the kind of dreck they are peddling now. I'll forgive the show many things, but not laziness.
Bit of a surprise, Big Finish is bringing back Brigadier Bambera from the Seventh Doctor adventure Battlefield and telling new stories for 90’s era UNIT. Definitely not a period I thought we’d get tackled but after Counter Measures had finished with the 60’s and 70’s it makes sense for another retroactive set series.

Although Battlefield is the weakest of the final original season (which IMO was a pretty strong season) I think the Bambara character was regarded as a high point of that story.

On their Facebook page, Big Finish asked if fans were interested in Unbound stories. It was in response to this article.

My take is Big Finish should explore the comedy relief special doctors or Shalka.
Maybe Dhawan and Whitaker should switch places? Dhawan was a runner up for 13 and Whitaker asked Chibnall to have her guest star as a villian.
We could get a what if the revival doctors stuck around longer series. They have Tennant and Eccleston around so strike while the iron is hot. .
Whitaker playing a villain? Does the personification of time from Flux count a bit? Would be interesting to have her be a new "Missy".
It's not unheard of of course. Not counting times the Doctor was brainwashed or antagonistic roles before (Maxil, Frobisher) or evil versions played by different actors (Valeyard, Dream Lord) We've had the Dalek robot Doctor from the Chase, Salamander from Enemy of the World, Meglos, Omega with the Doctor's face, Cyber-planner etc.

Speaking of Witcher, I think Joey Batey (Jakier/Dandelion) might make a good Doctor if they're going for someone similar to Tennant or Matt Smith. I can also see Royce Pierreson if they're going for a more subdued take like Pertwee, Davison or early Capaldi.

Reportedly BBC America have pulled funding and The Abominable Snowmen animation will be the last one they'll be involved with. No word yet on whether BBC will seek another partner to help finance other releases or if they'll stump up the cash themselves.
Bit torn on this. When the animation was done well we got gems like Macra, Evil and The Faceless Ones. However Fury and Galaxy 4 were atrocious efforts. Even Snowmen looks like it will be similar to Fury. Plus I don't think there is commercial incentive to continue. I mean, the big ones left with bankable monsters is Dalek Master Plan and Wheel In Space. Even then, one of those would have required a massive financial commitment.
Really hope that, if these continue, the BBC seeks out different animation studios. One where the talent isn't spread thin and they actually take the time to animate things properly.

It'd be interesting to see her take on a recurring WHO villain other than the Judoon. It'd be weird if it were the Daleks though....
