Henry Linchon has died recently. He was one of three co-authors of The Holy Blood and Holy Grail, which introduced the theories that would be made more notable in pop culture in The Da Vinci Code. In addition to being an actor, he was a co-writer on the original series of Doctor Who and helped to create the Yeti and The Great Intelligence as well as The Quarks with his partner Mervyn Haisman.



With his passing, all the writers of Doctor Who from the 1960s are gone.

Gotta wonder though, hope it's not a throw all her monsters at it her kind of thing. We already had that to a degree in Flux, and we've had three season finales that are the Master+Cybermen in less than a decade.

He also has beef with Davies so it's unlikely he would come back while Davies is at the helm.

But Tennant and Smith are safe bets or atleast Tennant is. So a Two Doctor redux?

I'd be down with a 9/13 story. She could team up with a post regenerated 9 in a sort of prequel to his era.

Lynda Baron passed away. Although she also had a role as the off-screen singer in Gunfighters, and Val in Closing Time, perhaps her most memorable WHO role is the very OTT Captain Wrack in Enlightenment. (Think one of the cliffhangers ends with her giving a maniacal laugh).

Pretty sure Eccleston said he loves the Big Finish working environment. So I think he'll continue to keep working with them.

According to Daily Mirror , Davis plans to Marvel Universe type move with Doctor. Creating franchises to do that.

Doctor Who did have have a few TV spinoffs in the Davies era and part of Moffat's. Torchwood however ended with Miracle Day, SJA when Sladen died...there was an attempt with Class, but that kind of flopped and ended after one season.

As for Hugh, he was one of the Doctors in the Curse of Fatal Death skit, and was considered for the revival; he also notably played alongside Capaldi in the cult film "Lair of the White Worm."
