RTD has apparently brokered a deal with Big Finish! Sounds like audio stuff is going to be adapted as well as the comics.

Great news, but...not surprising, exactly. Both RTD and Moffat has respected Big Finish, with RTD working with them in various capacities with their Torchwood material not to mention "Dark Season" and that 6th Doctor Story.

But yeah if this relationship is strengthened even more I'm all for it.

When I read the summary of the news, it makes it sound like 1-to-1 adaptations.

I can't find anything by The Mirror on this other than the Beep The Meep stuff. And that FB group always posts second-hand information they crib from either there or Gallifrey Base with no real leads of their own.

I know that Paul Mcgann considers himself the "George Lazenby" of Doctor Who, but given that Tennant coming back seems like a bit of a "Diamonds are Forever" thing ala Connery, maybe that also applies a bit to Jodie.

He already has. His most infamous DW story for the Magazine is The World Shapers, which revealed the Vrood were the Cybermen, Marinus was planet 14 and he also killed off Jamie.

Given RTD wants to make Dr.Who a cinematic universe, he might get his chance lol.

We did sort of have a shared universe of sorts when WHO, SJA and Torchwood were on at more or less the same time. Then of course season 4's finale was a big crossover.

There was also CLASS during Moffat's time but that didn't really go anywhere.
