From what I saw on another site when I raised the question of Jane being worthy despite corruption, apparently Mephisto’s power is stronger than the enchantment (possibly in his own realm) allowing him to bypass it.

In his own realm I would say he could do this

Otherwise I call bs on it, he's not stronger than odin, but then maybe the enchantment is broken coz of what's gone on in thor, even odin can't hold it and it's his magic so none of this makes sense even within its own internal logic to me anymore

Well with Damnation, Vegas has become Mephisto’s domain and he’s most likely become even more powerful since becoming the Lord of Hell so it makes sense that if he can corrupt the wielder of the hammer, he can corrupt it as well.

Also Mephisto likely has more power given the amount of sin in Vegas.
