For example Knight Errant could have used a better more consistent art quality.

What is wrong with the art for Knight Errant?
I just reread it, and it wasn't even fill in artists, except for David Daza who only did the art for Deluge #5, all the artists did three issues apiece which from the letters column was the plan. The last arc Escape was the exception rather than the rule and they only had Castiello do the art for those issues because it was the last arc of the story. Some may not like a rotating cast of artists but it was intentional here it seems.
I have never in 30 years of comic book reading come across a story that was reprinted with new art work. Original art always goes with original story. I've seen some recolored though. Anyone have any examples of a comic book story that was reprinted with new art?
The final volume of Grant Morrison's The Invisibles had a few pages redone completely for the trade.
Of course these were some of the most important pages in the entire trilogy, and original artist clearly had no idea what was going on in the scene and just drew some random crap.
As I understand it, Marvel has primarily reprinted Dark Horse stuff as part of their Epic Collections omnibus series and is planning a reprint of the Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir trade. So far as I know, artwork is still the same.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

While not quite the same, they did this to their old adaptations of the OT: https://io9.gizmodo.com/check-out-ma...mic-1696199887
Kind of interesting. Anyone remember that they actually released a Tarkin toy with the incorrect Marvel colors? http://jedibusiness.com/figureDetails.aspx?id=1752

Regarding the changing art in reprints, I think the TPB version of Infinite Crisis had a few tweaks....and there's actually a Star Wars example of this. The adaptation of Empire (Published as part of the monthly ongoing) had Yoda based on pre-production concept art that depicted him as thin and purple. Reprints would feature a corrected Yoda.
