Is anyone else disappointed with the X-Men Red team?

I love Jean. She's my favorite X-Man and favorite Marvel character right next to Spider-Man. I'm glad she's getting her own book after Phoenix Resurrection, but this lineup is so disappointing. Laura and Gabby both on one team seems excessive for me, but I understand that they're a duo so they should be together, but on Jean's team? Really? That seems like a waste for me. The worst offense is Namor on the team. I thought I hated him only as an X-Man, but now I realize that I just despise his character in general, and you can bet your ass that they're going to force Jean into a thing with Namor... :Puke:


I was hoping for Wolverine to be on the team to match with Kurt. Those two together would be cool, especially on a team led by Jean. Hope should'be been on the team, too.

They could've just not make another team, but rather have Kitty regress out of the leadership of Gold team and re-roster it with Jean as the leader.

That I will. I'm picking it up, but right now it's solely for Jean. I do hope my mind is changed.

The only thing that is interesting about the team is Namor mainly because of his allegiance. Other then that I think people are being ingrates. Having a story arc centered around Jean Grey since All New X-Men. Getting a 12 issue ongoing solo. An x-over and now a series. Just really ungrateful and I suspect we'll see more of this once the exposure dwindles.

In any case just remember that the rosters that people were most excited for usually backfired in quality e.g. Extraordinary X-Men, X-Men Gold etc and the rosters people weren't excited for were usually good reads C&C's X-Force.

i don't get why Namor is even in the same room with Gentle. or any X-Men for that matter. what he did to Wakanda during A Vs X, he killed Millions of people. but if i look past that the rest of the team seem pointless . all the new kids should have their own book. Nightcrawler is already on a team. lets get people out of limbo, we could make at lest 3 teams with people who are not being used right now. i will give it the first arc to see if i like it. i really hope its good, cause this would be a waste to bring Jean back.

I was expecting something more Extinction Team-like. It seems there are too many claws and fists. I also wanted Storm in this book, since she's being completely wasted in Gold.

And if there were going to be claws, I was hoping they'd be the reborn Logan.

Id have expected more people she was close to or one of her kids. Gabby shouldn't really be on the team I'd send her off to generation x and add Dust or Mercury. Other then that its some mild nitpicking. Im excited for it but being Jeans grand return you'd expect somting a lot grander.
