Thanks! Technically that's what sold me on the taller Kallax options: how it works as a space separator that can be used on both sides. Unfortunately my new spot has smaller rooms, so back to having it against the wall it is. The only issue when using both sides are all the irregular trim books: Frank Miller's "300" or "Xerxes", graphic albums like Dan Clowes' "Wilson", BKV/Marcos Martin's "The Private Eye"...they fit better with nothing behind them and the Kallax is deep enough to have the spines lined up with normal trim books.
I love it too! The writing is great and the art is stunning. Gory stuff aside, I like to suggest it to my young adult friends, I think the themes of the book resonate more with teens. Of course there's a lot to appreciate for us older readers as well.
I got all of those off eBay, I happen to like the original coloring/lettering better. These editions are paperbacks but I see that even those are very overpriced now, they weren't going for as much a couple of years back. It's also kind of a bummer since the (much rarer) Eclipse hardcovers were also on auction at the time, but too cost-prohibitive for me.
Batman: The Golden Age volume 1-9 (possibly the entire Golden Age Batman series - or at the very least Batman/Detective Comics/Worlds Finest stories from 1939-August 1954 - depending on if DC do one more Golden Age volume or now start the Silver Age line)
I don't think I've ever posted my shelves so here they are. Unfortunately, due to space I've had to remove quite a few books from my shelves so they're either in storage in the basement or I've given them away.

After 40 or so years of reading and collecting I'm finally getting a comic room. This is a work n progress, unpacking a few boxes so far.16682059323515488166985846860360.jpg
How much fun would that be all that lovely goodness. The one drawback is the very slow publication run, we could all die waiting. What timeline were the Showcase Presents volumes of Batman?
Hail Hydra!
Agreed, would love the complete Bronze Age Batman in omnibus format!
The Showcase TPB'S were as follows:
Vol 1. 1964-1065 Detective Comics 327-342 & Batman 164-174
Vol 2. 1965-1966 Detective Comics 343-358 & Batman 175-188
Vol 3. 1967-1968 Detective Comics 359-375 & Batman 189-201
Vol 4. 1968-1969 Detective Comics 376-390 & Batman 202-215
Vol 5. 1969-1971 Detective Comics 391-407 & Batman 216-228
Vol 6. 1971-1972 Detective Comics 408-426 & Batman 229-244
Hope the pictures are not too big. Note the mangas i got a blind box of mangas. Got some oddball single books. Some i never even heard of! So why do i have a odd vol 7 only. That's why! This might take a few rounds. Sorry. Also note we have nephews, nieces and other kids so you will see kids books in there.
