This is my first shelf. I am reorganizing. Expecting two X-Men Omnis, Shang-Chi, Cable & X-Force, Avengers Epics, Wonder Woman by Simone and a bunch of BPRD books soon. Just got the entire set of Vagabond yesterday. Will be getting Ubel Blatt as well. Have expanded into manga a bit recently. Still a bit to do. I have another box of stuff including my valiant books that I still need to put up. Gonna shuffle some stuff around this weekend hopefully.

Here's my not so organized collection....

First pic is mostly Marvel with some random DC and indie stuff, second is the mostly DC shelves, which has some indie stuff as well, then the third pic is random spill-over shelves, mostly dedicated to Alans Davis & Moore...

Sweet looking books! I love how the Manga books all flow together brilliantly. Manga is one thing missing from my collection. I'm sure there are some awesome Manga books but I just can't seem to get into them.

Awesome collection slop! You have a lot of great stuff. You may want to buy another shelf though for your omnis that you're stacking on top. The spines will eventually get messed up from all the weight.

Thanks, Whovian. I have only just dipped into manga myself. I can honestly say that most of it does not appeal to me as I looked through the manga on IST for almost every publisher extensively when researching. There are definitely a lot of gems though. Another thing I’m currently having trouble with is categorizing my collection, partly due to space constraints. I’m gonna box up some of my paperbacks over the weekend to create some room. Thinking I will do independents such as Valiant, Image, Dark Horse, etc together followed by the big two.

Thanks, and yeah, they do tend to get moved around and re-shelved over time. That is not their permanent resting place.

I thought it might be cool to post a cube’s worth of books at a time to discuss. Pandemic boredom and whatnot...

While I was sheltering in place, I finally got done redoing our finished attic into a comic room. Our master bedroom used to be in that space, but we moved it downstairs so my wife no longer had to do the stairs to get to the bedroom and it left the upstairs wide open for me to do over. The space is divided into two spaces-the reading room and the studio, and contains all my pop culture adjacent stuff/collections-comics, toys, art, vintage paperbacks, movies, records, etc. so is not exclusively collected editions. It takes a ton of pics to show off all the space in detail, so I will limit it to enough tot get the gist across over a couple of posts...

Looking from the sitting room towards the studio space...

and some of the shelves in the studio space....

    more to come...

The shelves in the studio hold most of the Marvel stuff I have...

while those back built in shelves hold a host of vintage paperbacks on the top 2 shelves and non-Marvel/Dc trades on the bottom, plus a number of museum-replica blades...
