    Default Harley Quinn:The animated series

So looks like DC has ordered an animated series for Harley and co for their new streaming service.
Seems to be based around her solo comic series based on the image
Won't be strictly for kids though but I'm not expecting a TV:MA rating or anything

Still 26 episodes is a lot for a half hour animated series.

....congrats....to.....harley.....DC if you want to sell your streaming service we need more than this but at least we have another cartoon. If it's based on the image then it looks good so far.

I guess this was the only way Harley's popularity could culminate .

But it looks fun, and it seems like they're taking influences from both Harley ongoings, with the premise of Kesel's and the art style and characters of Palmiotti/Conner .

Not really sure how I feel about the Powerless guys working on this, but hopefully it works out better for them then that show did.

I'm curious to see what the voice cast is like for this. They're trying to get Robbie back for Harley (which would be cool, if improbable), but that still leaves Ivy and likely Batman and Joker. On-top of who will probably fill-out the guest cast.

So far it seems like all the original content on this service is aimed at older audiences. I hope that doesn't negatively impact it...

To avoid this negativity putting the old cartoons on the service would be logical. I would make all the new shows for older audiences but hide this cause behind other content lol.

I thought the recent Harley run was dreadful, but I guess there is a market for it. Can't say I'm surprised DC is pushing her more given the success of SS and her solo a while back.

I like her, she’s a bit overexposed. But I like her

The queen of Gotham is still the Cat though.

To be fair, I'm not expecting Harley to have much success in her attempts to become "Queen" .

Interesting how the hate for Harley increased when she separated herself from the Joker and began to make moves on her own.
I mean she was sort of doing that before but it was always treated as unimportant and just a period that she will get over before running back to him. People on this site liked her like that but when she began to outpace other female characters and DC began to cash in on her popularity then her "freedom" was viewed as a negative and all her appearances became "annoying".

Not that I mind her increased visibility. Harley is probably my favorite character in Gotham after Batman but it is interesting how you can sort of go from fan favorite to hated.
Harley is probably the image you'll see when you look at the trope for "Its popular now it sucks"

If the series began with a montage of Harley's past with Joker, and showing her leaving him for good, I think that would be a good way to start while also acknowledging her past origins.

No, I think Harley is extremely popular still; both with mainstream and casual fans. And she is still a huge fan favorite for cosplay.

I hate Harley being away from Joker because I don't like anything about her character. I find her annoying and unbearable the only version I like of her is her early appearances as Joker's sidekick in the animated series.
