Default How do we feel about Superman successfully using Flash's Cosmic Treadmill?

He just did it in Action Comics #992. Pretty insane stuff. I personally loved the issue and the use of the treadmill was bonkers but I can understand if some purists don't like the idea of a non speedster using it.

    Thoughts?

Wasn't the treadmill totally messed up back in the Batman and Flash "The Button" crossover, or did it get better since then?

I think Superman can reach the minimum speed to work the Treadmill..so i guess that's alright
What we used to call life has very little worth these days. Welcome to the very edge.

I guess we're supposed to assume Barry rebuilt it.

Mixed feelings. On the one hand it's Flash's thing, on the other Superman isn't a regular human like Hunter Zolomon was.

I really had no idea since, aside from those two issues for "The Button", I haven't read the book since back in 2014 (when Van Jensen and Robert Venditti took over the writing and we got the Blue Flash from the future guy).
Also avoided Justice League (since back in 2012).

As long as he asked first I'm OK with it.

I don't think it's a problem. Superman's fast as heck, and I've actually kind of wanted him to use the Cosmic Treadmill for a while.

Barry and Wally have rebuilt that thing dozens of times since the Silver Age. Wally even explicitly said so back in COIE # 11 in 1986.

Speaking of which, on that same occasion, TWO Supermen (Kal-El of Earth-One and Kal-L of Earth-Two) operated the Cosmic Treadmill, but they were working together with Jay and Wally.

I always felt that the Flash’s ability to time travel had a lot to do with his connection to the Speed Force. It allows The Flash to not only run fast but actually break the laws of physics.

But I guess since the treadmill itself is the time machine and it just needs enough energy/speed to make it work, Superman should be able to use it.

Superman used to be able to time travel in older days. Post Crisis Superman's abilities were curtailed. Which was both good and bad.

So, i see it more as a return to the older days, rather then something new. I am fine with him not being able to move through time. I am fine when he could. Time travel can make interesting stories when done well. Use it nicely and i will be happy.

However, i don't know how the cosmic treadmill works. I will look that up.

As a Superman fan i am delighted for sure.
