Congratulations, Sugar Spun Sorceress.
How's that for irony? A "squeaker" wins in a landslide! Beautiful (if gory) choice, Sugar Spun Sorceress.
Congratulations to Sugar Spun Sorceress for a cover which powerfully expresses the feeling of animals in real life conflict while keeping the sense of anthropomorphic comics bookery. The perspective in the bird vs. mouse scene is extraordinary.
And what have I learned this week? The Captain realizes that the name Steranko is not the magic word he once believed it was. Or that Steranko Blue Dog is a phrase better suite for a micro-brew. He was disappointed the comic versions weren't put forth. He had considered a Peanuts cover with Snoopy atop his doghouse going against the Red Baron but his fanboy entitlement made him go with Jim. I need to start stepping up my game here.
Congratulations Sugar Spun Sorceress!

Congrats Sugar Sugar!
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
Thanks everyone.
Extra thanks to Tami, Iron Maiden and whiteshark for honorable mentions. I've been forgetting to list mine lately, sorry. I also liked SquirrelMan's 2000AD cover because of the "Please let me drown before the scorpions get me" part. I've already stolen that as a tentative name for a song. Lol.
And extra dope thanks to seismic-2, MRP, ChadH, Scott Taylor, Abe, Raffi Ol D'Arcy and The Celtic Batman for the votes.
