Not sure how it works in this new Live Action Universe, but the only way to kill a Shinigami in the anime was for them to basically kill themselves. So Ryuk's most likely got this.

Do they have TP resistance or any kind of mindfuckery resistance?
I think the Tim Curry version had the stare, but it's been awhile.Yeah, but if you... man, we're getting into weird analogy territory, like if you disintegrated Superman's arms he wouldn't be able to go "fool! Can't "It" be killed though? It's basically impossible to kill Ryuk. Meanwhile, all Ryuk would have to do is what he does best: manipulate humans.
