I canít say I was too pleased with it. As an episode, itís pretty enjoyable, but I was looking for a more menacing Bane. I was born in 96, so by the time I watched the episode, I actually looked it up in the internet. It was far better than his appearance in Batman & Robin undoubtedly, but I liked a lot more his participation in Over the Edge, I dig the look and find him to be really threatening and imposing

I posted this on the Damian thread as well

The second issue referenced "Bane of the Demon" and this preview has a "Venom" reference. Nice to see Bane stories other than Knightfall getting acknowledged.

Nice preview. I might end up buying the tpb if I see an overall positive reception toward this. I know the first crossover by the same team was pretty successful, so I hope the lighting strikes twice

Was Bane inspired by Dolph Lundgren's Drago from Rocky IV in any way? i'm sure the creator loved Rocky 4 and was inspired.

Doc Savage, the Count of Monte Cristo, lucha libre and South American revolutionaries were the primary influence behind Bane according to Dixon and Nolan. O'Neal was the one behind the Venom use.
King in his "I am Suicide" arc used Colonel Kurtz as an influence.
I think Drago may have been an influence on KGBeast.

I gotta say Hardy was quite good as Bane despite the character not feeling like Bane when he is an unrealistic character when it could had been Riddler for Dark Knight 3 with Ventriloquist.
