Has it been specified yet that Doug/Danger has been retconned out? No. Will I believe it's been retconned out unless specified otherwise for the sake of my own sanity? Yes.

I also feel like people haven't been reading Rosenberg's comments since they keep mentioning Dani not being in this when it feels she does have a role to play.

Plus I've made five posts saying that Rosenberg has basically all but confirmed that Shatty, Dani, and Warlock are gonna make an appearance.

LOL it fits Rictor's aesthetic of being trendy/tacky.

I am still freaking out over how much I am excited about this book. The lineup and creative team really exceeded expectations, although I am lowkey butthurt about Magik and Rahne being back in the blue/yellow color scheme. I don't get the appeal of retro outfits (hi X-Men Gold), but most especially for B/C-List characters that didn't have iconic or striking looks.

Rosenberg is currently writing her in Secret Warriors and the characterization is pretty spot-on.

And I don't know that she grew out of being a goth so much as she grew out of being a crazy and evil goth.

Honestly, I'd keep the head piece if I had my choice. Like Boom Boom keeps her jacket here the head piece has become part of Magik's iconography.

You should blame Simonson for putting her X-Factor characters in the New Mutants 30 years ago.

HAHAHA don't get me started on the lame X-terminators. I didn't think they were horribly written just a little bland for my taste.There were a few stories that they were featured in that i thought were great, like the X-factor issue where they stopped Infectia from kissing Iceman on their date.
