Feels like you're overreacting. All he seems to be saying is that we're not going to know everything about Kylo Ren.

At this point in time it doesn't look like we would get Kylo Ren's full history but to put this into perspective, we didn't really know much about Vader either. When it comes to storytelling we are following them at the most important parts of their lives, and if not why are we watching this? The point is that for the sake of the trilogy as of this time we aren't going to know much about Kylo Ren which is fine. The franchise is much bigger than the movies so we can get follow-up elsewhere if the need arises. The problem right now is that his movie plot isn't over yet, so it's hard to fill in the blanks and things are fluctuating having not reached episode 9 to wrap things up. We should not have to deal with situations like with Boba Fett and Darth Vader history getting retconned so it's for now a slow burn.

I'm sure there's several fans who feel that, in the case of Vader and Boba Fett, things were better before we knew their full backstories
Regarding the retcons, while there was a lot of Boba Fett retcons here and there (The whole Jaster Mereel thing) I think the EU pretty much stayed away from Vader's backstory apart from what we already knew. Unless you mean the retcons to Anakin during the Clone Wars (In "Legends" Anakin only becomes a knight and grows his hair out/gets the scar late into the war and has no Padawan; whereas in canon, he gets promoted early and of course has Ashoka for a good portion of it).
