Default Do you like Post Malone's song "Congratulations"?

Well, he brings a different type of music and I'm not sure if most CBR posters like him or not.

His "Congratulations" song is currently #1 in the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart and on it's 8th week on top!

I like the song. I also love his previous song "Rockstar feat 21 Savage.

First time I've heard of him personally. On first listen, it sounds ''alright'' but nothing special IMO. Still, as I say it's alright based on first listen.

This would be a good question to ask if we had a Pop Music thread...

I find it kind of generic. But then I'm not the target audience, I guess.

The whole "acting as your own hypeman repeating words over your own lines" thing has gotten real old, real fast. Now would you kids please get off my lawn????

It really sucks. Sounds like every other repetitive rap type song these days.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

Oh god no. He's horrible. Mumble Cloud Rap is terrible on its own and somehow this guy has made himself the Bubba Sparxx of Mumble Cloud.
    Pull List:

Marvel Comics: Venom, X-Men, Black Panther, Captain America, Eternals, Warhammer 40000.
    DC Comics: The Last God

Now all we have to do is apply some autotune and we have ourselves a hit. ;-)

Man, I can remember when a song staying at #1 for 8 weeks really meant something. I guess Hound Dog/Don't Be Cruel, Mack the Knife, Rock Around the Clock, and Hey Jude's lengthy time at the top of the charts must be comparable to 30 weeks in this era.

You should check how does the US Billboard Hot 100 works.

I have, RLAAMJR. About 25 years ago, they changed the way songs were counted. Since then, the top songs have had a much easier time staying there than in the past.

Oh ok. But to be fair with Post Malone, the song is streaming well and looking at the top 10, i only see Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" taking the top spot next week.
