It wasn't a bad arc per se but wasn't a great one either. Gambit, Bishop or OML were meaningless in this story. There can be any mutants in their stead and nothing would have changed. IF (and that's a big if) these characters will have some meaningful role in the 2nd arc I'm ok with that. But if not they were just carrots for fans.

Prof X thing was expected. Not a plot twist. Hope 2nd arc will be better.

I imagine Xavier took control of the main Brain, and Fantomex is asleep in the spare-emergency brain. If they ever clone Xavier a new body, and a telepath transfers Xavier's mind to it, Fantomex could return.

I must say I really love Charles Soule's prose. Really dig his captions and the way he describes things.

Holy smokes to the final page, although I guess it had already been spoiled by a cover for an upcoming issue in the latest solicits. Still, if we finally got rid of a character who had run its course, to be replaced by a central character to the franchise, possibly giving him a few new tricks... everything's right in my book.

Loved this issue, though this arc could’ve easily played out for 4 issues only. I’m not entirely convinced that is the real Xavier. Can’t wait to see how all of this play out.

Xavier words are still black. They were white when he first arrived to Astral plane and started to fight SK.

I did catch up with this series now. So Glad I did and that Charles is Back. As for why his Words are still Black... Maybe because he's in someone elses Body and if they get him a new one he'll go back to normal...

Why is his speech black with white lettering ? That seems to imply hes more evil. Also what did shadow king find as a power source, my guess hes feeding of xavier and corrupted him abit.

The way Fanto was talking sounded more like he was sacrificing himself and Charles was taking complete control. I even got a hint Charles coerced him into doing it Lmao.
