Default JL Movie Flash running style

Did anyone find the running style of Flash in the film a little odd? He seemed to be deliberately swinging his forearms to the front and then to
the back compared to TV Flash who seems to have a more aerodynamic approach.

Barry Allen isn't an athlete. He's a nerd who gained superpowers. Stands to reason his running would be......different from the running style of a track star.

Likely because that last scene of him is more of a weird jog he has to do to move at speed, but still be able to move around various obstacles.

I agree. While he is not an athlete it is a poor aesthetic choice. A nerd would also likely try to learn how to run if that was part of his power set. The Flash doesn't need to have perfect sprinting form, but he also shouldn't run like an uncoordinated goof. I've stated in previous threads that hopefully this will be addressed if there is ever another Flash movie. Ezra is a goofy person and he doesn't need that to be encouraged. While not perfect, the aesthetic of Barry running in the tv show is so much better even with the limited special effects.

Another possible explanation could be that Ezra was trying to capture some of the more dramatic poses in which Flash has been shown in comic art. Zack Snyder really loves taking a panel from a comic book and trying to bring that moment to life in his movies. BvS is FULL of scenes that look like the "captured moment in time" feel of a comic book panel.

I remember thinking it looked off in that last shot too.
Like others it seems, I chalked it up to him being somewhat overwhelmed by his on powers, still learning, almost as if needing to catch-up to himself.

I noticed that too. He looked super awkward. Even if someone is a “nerd” they should still know the basic mechanics of running. You don’t flop your arms around wildly.

It looked more like he was skating than running.
