Default Give me an awesome but short lived series from the 90s or 00's

What series from the 90s or 00's was a great, but cancelled-too-soon that you really liked?

I'm thinking something that didn't even make it to 20 issues.

    Thoughts?

Power Company by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett. There were 18 regular issues in the series along with 7 one shots that each focused on a character from the series. The series is about a team for hire that operates like a law firm with partners and associates.

Chase by Dan Curtis Johnson and J H Williams III. It followed a DEO investigator, the daughter of a minor hero that was murdered when she was a child. Excellent artwork and a ground level POV of the DCU. Ran 10 issues with scattered appearances in other books.

It lasted a bit over your cut-off, but I'm a big fan of the Dan Jurgens Teen Titans book, which only lasted 24 issues. One of the best runs the Titans have ever had.

Similarly over the cut-off, at 25 issues, I'm surprised that Tom Peyer's Hourman doesn't really have cult classic status, as it's an incredibly smart and imaginative book.

    Breach, from 2006-ish.

Started off as a reboot/Rebirth for Captain Atom, eventually turned into its own thing, then when Captain Atom returned Breach was literally blown up, never to be heard from again.

But the book was a lot of fun, with a weird superhero meets Half-Life 2 kind of vibe......really solid sci-fi thriller with a dash of horror. I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I second the Titans recommendation! Especially if you are a Ray Palmer fan.

    Primal Force from 1994-1995.

    14 issues + a Zero Hour one-shot.

Orion by Walt Simonson. It ran 25 issues and was probably one of the best takes on New Gods characters outside of Kirby.

    Damage - 21 issues

Doom Patrol - volume 3 (John Arcudi run that lasted 22 issues) and volume 5 (Keith Giffen run that lasted 22 also) SKIP VOLUME 4 written by John Byrne!!

The Ray - A 6 issue limited series followed by and ongoing that last 28 issues

    Shadowpact - 25 issues

    Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. - 15 issues

    Valor - 23 issues

JSA All Stars (vol 2) - 18 issues

I can definitely second all of these recs, Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E being the stand out among them and one of the best things Johns has written for DC.

A note about JSA All Stars though: If you can't tolerate garbage level art, give the book a pass.

Green Lanern: Mosaic. An excellent John Stewart solo book.

I had forgotten about Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E! I am halfway finished and it is absolutely fun!

I will second the recommendations for
    - Power Company
    - Orion
    - Primal Force (not as good as the ones above, but I liked it at the time)
