I'd be okay with 70, though 67 is close enough.

Retirement should be lowered to 65 years old.

I hate people who start bullshit threads like this and have no intention in participating in the discussion.

This is something asshole white men in cushy white color jobs come up with. Try working a physical job in your 60s let alone 70s.

Not just no, but hell no!
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

An extra 13 years? No thank you. Would YOU want to work until you're 80?

Yeah, totally. Actually people should work till they drop dead. Then they can sleep all they want, lazy bastards.

And really, is child labour such a bad thing? Kids should put to work as soon as they can walk i say!!

Let me put it this way. If you were over 70 years old and got laid off, would you like to go looking for a job?

    My dad did, I think.
Worked to his 70s and changed jobs in his late 60s/early 70s.

It's a tricky one. Clearly we have an ageing population so we can't have people retiring at the same age they used to and expect to be supported for the rest of their lives. We just can't afford it.

Some professions are too physical or stressful (police, prison guard, teacher) though that trying to do that too old would drive you to an early grave.

Personally I'm a computer programmer and (like all programmers) I love my job. I think they'll be dragging me out kicking and screaming when I reach retirement age.

Not only do people often not live until 80, by that age, dementia is usually setting in.

So not just "no", but "Hell no. What the f*** are you thinking?"
