Wonder Woman 36 SPOILERS

With the upcoming showdown beween Zeus and Darkseid, I am really curious what separates a New God from and Old God, aside from the technological advances of a New God. Let's just keep it simple with these two immortals first to keep it simple:

Similarities:

Both can teleport
Both have super strength
Both can make themselves larger (gigantic)
Both can create life (though Darkseid can only bring someone back to life that he has personally killed with the Omega Beams)
Both are good fighters
Both can teleport themselves and others
Both can fly
Both can sort of create Avatars of themselves
One can trap you into som dimensional plane and the other can trap you into Tartarus (lol)

Differences:

Zeus can weather manipulate, transform into animals, summon lightning, curse spell, and matter manipulate by transforming things into whatever
Darkseid has the Omega Beams, and may have a more unlimited amount of power base than Zeus, plus Tech

Whats going on in Wonder Woman now? I read in an article right now that there is a storyline about some war between the new gods and the old gods. IE The New Apokalypse Gods and the Olympian Gods which kinda sounds like the coolest storyline I've ever heard of. But I was never able to find this article again and I couldn't find any information on this story arc. Can anyone confirm if its true or not? And if so where does it start? How far back do I need to read from?

Whats going on in Wonder Woman now? I read in an article right now that there is a storyline about some war between the new gods and the old gods. Have you read Darkseid War? It's a continuations of that, beginning with issue #31. Spoilers:

- Darkseid is a baby. Grail (his daughter) is hunting the essence from the children of Zeus to feed Darkseid to bring him back to full growth. So far, Darkseid and Grail are the only ones from Apokalypse featured, and Zeus is the only Olympian. If you are looking for a big, epic storyline, this isn't it (imo). In six issues, we haven't learned much that we didn't already know from Darkseid War.

What would you guys think if in the end, Diana and Jason combine their powers in some way to create some sort of force that resurrected their brothers and sisters (and maybe their dad if Zeus does fall)? Interesting characters like Hercules can actually be utilized, but Darkseid keeps his form because they're not brought back by re-draining him, they're re-energized by the energy of Wonder Woman and Jason. Explained as some sort of feat between the gods, something only possible because of the means Grail used to "kill" them. Just a thought.

What I'd like is for Darkseid to turn Zeus to a fine mist, devour Grail in one bite, and Jason in two.
