It does sound like what the Generations issue did, except with two different versions of Peter and a proper team-up against classic villains like Ock and Gobby (granted, we get enough of them in the main book at this point...).

I can actually agree with you on that, at least in the sense that Alex Ross used to be a very special treat that you could only enjoy every once in a while, but it is possible to have too much of a good or even great thing.
