Designs for Peter young and old
We could be getting double-shipping of Spectacular in March, here's issue 302's cover
I looked at a couple pages of Joe Quinones' previous artwork, and it seems like he is a good artist, so I'm excited to have him onboard! The coloring looks a bit too stylized for my preference, but that could just be due to have a cool retro look going - either way, I hope they do return to a more realistic palette after this story.
The story seems interesting as well - kind of like a Generations mini but with 2 Peters instead of Miles. I am interested to see what the over-arching plot of the story will be. I'm assuming this whole thing gets started by Peter (+ his pals T'Challa and Riri) building a time machine in #300 and then something going wrong, and then adult + teen Peter teaming up in the past to get parts and fix it, because I can't think of any other way this story could get started, but we'll have to wait and see, I guess. That would be kinda predictable, so hopefully Zdarsky has something better in mind.
Older Peter going back in time and teaming up with his younger self sounds like it should be fun, so I hope the writing is on-point .
I guess Spec is settling itself in as the "wild" Spider-Title.
I'm not the only one seeing some Tom Holland in young Peter am I?
At least the art looks like it'll be pretty great.
Yeah, and I like that Quinones is going back to the "original" red-and-black (with blue highlights for the younger Peter Parker) with the classic Spider-Man costume.
The spider is always on the hunt.
Joe Quinones is a great artist, good to see him back ilustrating the Spider-Man stories.
This series is one of the most dificult to trade wait because lately it seems to be a cool Spider-Man comic book.
is Teresa a thing now; like in-canon?
Only thing about this story is that it'll be a time-travel one, and I feel all ''time-travelled out'' I guess due to all the time-travel stories Marvel did for a while but I'm interested in the idea of the story so I'll give it a shot.
