Default X-Men Vs. Avengers: The Movie

With Disney now owning the X-Franchise could we see an X-Men Vs. Avengers movie soon?

If they listened to the complaints about the event and made adjustments for th movie it's possible it wouldn't be bad. But I'd doubt they'd do that, and they would need to establish their versions of the characters first. Unless they just plan on keeping the same people involved.

    It's going to happen.

Mutants are born into MCU. Hated and feared. X-Men happen. Avengers vs X-Men.

I don't know, maybe it could be cool if they handle it properly. If it goes this way, i'd like to see them scrap the current X-Men cinematic universe, cast and all, and just reboot it.

With the Sony deal, and now the Fox deal, there are some good opportunities. An AvX movie might not be the best idea, but how about moving forward with a New Avengers type of vibe? An Avengers team that includes characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Dr Strange, Luke Cage and Daredevil sounds amazing to me. You could even throw Ben Grimm in the mix. We can have a tightly knit shared universe and still keep X-Men and Avengers mostly separate and doing their own thing.

I know it won't happen, especially Luke and Daredevil, because of the Marvel Films/Marvel Television split. But hey, a guy can dream.

    Nope, do not want.

I can see how this move could benefit the FF, but I think the Avengers and X-Men work better separately. There isn't a single comic crossover between the two that I would want to see adapted to film, they're all generally awful.

That said, a Secret Wars movie based on the Hickman event would be an easy way to merge the existing properties without too much of a hard reboot.

Captain America: Civil War wasn't a scene by scene translation of the comic series. (and "Age of Ultron" wasn't anything like the comic event!) An AvX movie could be really good, with legitimate reasons for the two teams to battle, and neither group being thrown under the bus to pump up the other.

Just as long as it is nothing like the comic it might be okay.

It will happen for sure. I hope the X-Men are given at least a full trilogy of movies before it hits though.

I love the Secret Wars idea. I wasn't even thinking about one of the best parts of this deal. Marvel can finally use Dr. Doom in movies!!
