Default Slight change to Mother Panic when she returns in 2018

From a Paste magazine article about the Young Animal line:
    Mother Panic: Gotham A.D. #1
    Writer: Jody Houser
    Artist: Ibrahim Moustafa
    Release Date: March 28, 2017
After the fallout of Milk Wars, Violet Paige finds herself in a Gotham City unlike any we have seen before. Ten years into the future, in a world without a Batman, Gotham City has been taken over by the Collective, with Gala acting as Head of Citystate. In a high-tech town with zero tolerance toward caped crusaders and masked vigilantes, except for those designed by Gala and her association of aristocratic artisans, what’s a woman who has vowed vengeance to do? And what’s happened to her mother, Rebecca Paige? Perhaps a sad clown who makes balloon toys shaped as tommy guns and machetes on the abandoned Gotham docks has the answers. Find out for yourself as Mother Panic returns to a different Bat-time, different Bat-channel.
The whole article, including changes to Cave Carson and to Shade the Changing (Girl) can be found here:
Note: Caivu posted a thread about this in the more general DC Comics section: Cave Carson, Shade, and Mother Panic continuing with new titles and #1s

So Batman Beyond without Batman? I'm not feeling this. So bizarre and random.

I've got a feeling I'll pass on this for at least individual issues.
Maybe I'll consider it in tpb collections, but part of the appeal of this title for me was that it was a different look at Gotham City in the present.

This actually has my interest piqued. I actually only read the first couple issues of Mother Panic, and while I enjoyed it, I ended up dropping due to objective reasons (money, space).
Comics were definitely happier, breezier and more confident in their own strengths before Hollywood and the Internet turned the business of writing superhero stories into the production of low budget storyboards or, worse, into conformist, fruitless attempts to impress or entertain a small group of people who appear to hate comics and their creators. -- Grant Morrison, 2008
