Oh good, I was starting to think me biting back about a dozen jokes the moment Cleric posted that pic was going to be in vain.

Darling in the Franxx is *not* breaking my top five anime of all time, but it's trying damn hard. I really wish they'd get rid of the sheer amount of fanservice in the early episodes because I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who appreciate good character studies that will miss out on this series.

The series may have mech battles, but they're honestly the least interesting part of the series. This is a show that explores humanity and relationships. It's a Japanese show protesting a culture of conformity that strips people of their souls. It's a show celebrating life and healthy community. It's ambitious and really, really good.

Erosa is still evolving! And her horn design is different enough that she wouldn't be confused for an oni.

Its like an angler fish lure, it tricks the onis into coming in close for some of that sweet id-oni loving and then she eats them whole.
