The Starjammers are a fictional team of space pirates appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
The Starjammers have often appeared in the pages of the X-Men comic books.
The Starjammers first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #107 (October 1977) and were created by Dave Cockrum.
The name "Starjammers" was created on the basis of the type of sailing ship known as "Windjammer".

"Siege"
Dani gets taken to Mid-County Medical Center. The New Mutants go with her
and figure the bear will go after Dani, so prepare to defend her.

In space, the Starjammers detect Warlock and Magus approaching Earth.


Back in the hospital, Tom and Sharon get nabbed by the Demon Bear.
Illyana puts a magic ward around the operating room Dani's in.
Bobby and Illyana tangle with the bear and Illyana scares it off with her soul sword.
The bear knocks out the power - generators turn on - and then attacks Illyana's ward.
The New Mutants tangle with it, and the bear teleports itself, all the New Mutants,
and the operating room still protected by Illyana's ward to an other-dimensional place known as the Badlands.

Me too. I do love and appreciate the X-Men in Space stories. Because of their close affiliation with The Sh'iar, the Phoenix, the Brood...I think there should always be an X-M: Space book. (Partly why I'm so excited for DoX New Mutants)

Yes I enjoyed Korvus with the phoenix blade as part of the Star Jammers team.
The Star Jammers also recently appeared in the GOTG# 11.
In talking about the Star Jammers, that X-Men Spotlight two issue series left open a Thanos/Deathbird plot point which was unfortunately never revisited.
