Bernard Chang and the other artists are definitely a plus point for the upcoming run.

I'll give it a shot. Reads better than Green Lanterns so far at least. Humphries is handling Dick's incredibly underrated time at Hudson, so that has built up some goodwill with me.
It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

As one who normally doesn’t have any use for Bludhaven, I have to say that looks ... pretty good. First of all, it literally LOOKS good. And the tone seems to keep the strain of wackiness that went back through Seeley’s run to GRAYSON. I am guessing the Judge is so named because he is a good judge of people and has the power to unleash their darkest desires to their own destruction. In that he’s rather like Lucifer (the TV series, not the comic) or in a very different manner the Shadows from Babylon 5. It is a good fit for the kind of Bludhaven we have these days. I am also guessing the whole “Nightwing the Untouchable” theme plays in such that Dick, being who he is, is uniquely resistant to the Judge’s manipulation. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Captain Svoboda, being who SHE apparently is, proves resistant as well.

Im warming up more and more to this Bludhaven. I like its look. I think its a place an art team can really have fun with. Though I always thought it was good idea to turned Bludhaven in to a neon lit gambling city. Now if they can only bolster the supporting cast. I didn't mind Shawn, but the Run Offs didn't really do it for me.

Yes, this Bludhaven certainly has a lot more potential than the “Gotham but poorer” original incarnation. Now, as you say, to really put together a reasonably stable supporting cast. Some of the pieces are currently there. I can see where Humphries is trying to go with the Judge and why he is arguing for him as a specifically Bludhaven menace. That kind of character (if I am right about his nature) thrives where there are bright surfaces and dark depths. Gotham is pretty much dark all the way through, and Metropolis is a place of Manichean light and dark.

So we still have Captain Svoboda, and dare I say New Blockbuster ain’t all that bad and also has organic ties to Bludhaven. But I agree the run offs were weak. This Bludhaven, with its carnival atmosphere, wouldn’t be a bad stage for the Skull Girls, or for the Fist of Cain. But whether anything can come together is the big question, and history, honestly, is against it.

I do like the art and look of the city. Just still iffy on the story and premise.

This Dick has really good comics. No wonder, he is so popular.

Kidding aside. Everything looks prim and proper. Looks to be better than Seeley's good run.

It also looks like he preys on tourists, people who are looking for a break from their mundane lives, and are susceptible to temptation.

Looks sweet. The only thing I read from Humphries was Avengers A.I.and I enjoyed it so let's see how this goes. The art is up and rolling.
"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark

Pretty decent start, it's got my attention. Don't think Dick as a trainer is such an inspired business choice, but I can live with it. The Judge could be interesting, we'll see how he and the flashbacks are handled.

Hmm, well this wasn't bad. The art was nice, and Judge was interesting. Also i liked the Tree of Justice. Landmarks are something Bludhaven has been missing. So i thought that was good idea. They are still gonna need to sell me on this profession though. So overall, while not spectacular, this wasn't a bad start.
