A bit jumpy and some blunt dialogue, but I like his voice for Dick and his vision for Blüdhaven. Like the art too, especially the pinks. I think this run has potential.

It's the Dynamic Duo! Batman and Robin!... and Red Robin and Red Hood and Nightwing and Batwoman and Batgirl and Orphan and Spoiler and Bluebird and Lark and Gotham Girl and Talon and Batwing and Huntress and Azreal and Flamebird and Batcow?

Since when could just anybody do what we trained to do? It makes it all dumb instead of special. Like it doesn't matter anymore.

Art was pretty good and the voice for Dick wasn't bad. There didn't seem to be that noticeable a change from Seeley's voice to Humphries'. Overall it was okay. I'm still not really sold on Bludhaven, probably won't ever be, and I don't quite agree with the idea that Dick needs a "normal" life. Nothing from his character indicates that is what he'd want, imo. The whole Grayson run was about how he was the same person in and out of the costume, so there isn't really a Nightwing and a separate Dick Grayson. It is always just Dick Grayson. It isn't a Clark vs Superman situation, so I doubt the gym thing lasts that long.

Judge seemed interesting. He comes across a bit like the Purple Man from Marvel in that he can manipulate people to do things, but it seems there might be more of a catch with his powers. Guess we will find out in the next issue probably.

Also it looks like Dick has a new Robin costume which was really nice to see. The further we get away from the New 52 one the better. I only hope they are smart enough to not just give him his old Robin costume back and instead give him one that looks mostly like his classic one, but slightly updated. Like giving him pants. That is all he really needed.

When I got to that part, I was thinking: Yeah, right. You grew up in a traveling circus and could throw quadruple somersaults at the age of ten. Later you were taken in by a billionaire who was secretly one of the world's most prominent superhero. Then you became the said superhero's junior partner and eventually a high-profile superhero on your own two feet. Since when is "normal" a feature of your life?

Also, I think Dick's base is too spartan and low-tech. Look at Jason's base when he's on his own that comes with a supercomputer and whatnot. That's what I imagine someone of a former-Robin's caliber needs. That said, maybe we could chalk this up to he has just moved and the new place has yet to be fully furnished.

Oh, and Judge's shtick feels kind of...incongruous. His name is law-themed, but his calling card/trademark gadget is a casino chip. How do these two aspects fit together?

Despite all above, I think this issue is pretty solid for the beginning of a new arch. The art is nice, and the set up intrigues me. The fleshing out of the Blüdhaven lore helps to give the city a much-needed depth and increases its appeal.

I think the Judge can judge people's desires and manipulate their weaknesses, but I agree- that's definitely not what I was thinking of when I heard the name. But I like this evil, manipulative Father John Misty better then some Law-and-Order powdered wig type.

So far I'm liking the nitty gritty feel of it all, from the design of Blud to Dicks new base, I do like seeing the 'tough' side of the vigilante business, plus the voice for Dick seems alright too. Its a pretty good intro, some standard stuff here and there, but certainly nothing bad. I mean, its a tad goofy and over the top but it embraces those elements pretty well.
