Default If you were pitching the next Star Wars videogame...

What would you make it about, and what type of game would it be?

Personally, I'd love to see a relaunch of X-Wing/TIE Fighter with modern graphics. My preference would be to set it in the period just before TFA and focus on Black Squadron (at least for a story, online you'd just have a bevvy of spacecraft to pick from and could make your own squadrons up).

I know they have space battles in Battlefront I and II, but those are "arcadey", I want one that is much more flight/dogfighting sim.
    Pull List:

Marvel Comics: Venom, X-Men, Black Panther, Captain America, Eternals, Warhammer 40000.
    DC Comics: The Last God

    I'd love a single-player Bioware-style RPG.

Preferably not actually made by Bioware, because most of the people who were great at this sort of thing no longer work there.

Thought about this last night actually.
The game would take elements of both Battlefront and Empire at war.

The player would take control of a commander and would amass troops and build bases on planets. Said bases and troops would have to deal with resource management when it comes to engagements and natives/wildlife. Maps would have a few presets so its not always the same but maps could have bases with factories, barracks, flight pads, and command centers built on them, and the amount of what is dependent on the kind of planet your on.
As the commander players would direct troops in RTS style gameplay; troops (legions of soldiers that couldn't be rendered in the immediate gameplay), tanks, bombers, and fighters. Whereas they also could lead on the frontlines if they feel they need to enter the action themselves or feel confident in their troops which is where the Battlefront elements kick in like; selecting loadouts, putting together a personal squad, getting into fighters or tanks, etc.

The same would be sort of present in space battles where things would transition to a fleet admiral. Selecting capital ships and escorts, as well as building space stations like medical, supply, shield, or moderating stations.

That's a lot of stuff for a game but since people tend to like Galactic Conquest and Empire at War is still going it might be something worth combining. Focus on one era as well kind of in the middle like an Imperial to First Order transition thing and you can market two eras of film in one product.

    Exactly this.

That sounds great. I haven't played Empire at War yet, but I bought it during the last GoG sale. Apparently there are a lot of good mods and conversion for it so I'm looking forward to playing while I'm on leave next week.
