What should be retconned out of the Marvel Universe?

Then there is Blue Marvel, who has been a background character at best since his introduction. Marvel has a terrible history with Superman-level characters, and it's better if they just went away. We don't need another immensely powerful character who all the heroes know about but for some reason hasn't been active in 70 years, and who Steve Rogers goes to and says "Ok, we are facing some crazy menace and finally need your unsurpassed skill and strength, even though you could have helped us the last 50 times we faced certain doom". It's cheap, unoriginal, and a retcon to begin with.

I understand your point, but deleting the character doesn't address the reason why he was created, or why he's presently in limbo now. Marvel does write really powerful characters well. See Thor, Hulk, Quasar, Thanos, Magneto and countless others. But they rarely write really powerful African American men ever. Removing Blue Marvel makes that never.

I don't think the codename itself is a problem, but it's weird in a world where that codename is already well-known.

My problem isn't even the code name. My problem is entirely with how Stern wrote that scene. There were better ways for Monica to get the Captain Marvel name. Like having her just randomly choosing it.

A guy babbling "the captain is a marvel" is just bad writing.

Things to be reconned:

1. Emma and Scott's relationship and all the dumb situations that came with them.
2. Spiderverse, and majorly what Dan Slott did to the MC2 in that story.
3. Kurt and Rachel's relationship, can that please take a deep six now?
4. AVX and the whole fall out after that.
5. Dorma's death. Can we have her back?
6. Missing members of Asguard, can they also come back now please?
7. Original YA as a team again.
8. Tom King's destruction of Victor Mancha.

He is not background character.
He been on teams (He was a co-lead)and had his own mini and co-starred in a few over books.
He is not going anywhere and will be back.He may pop up again in x-men gold in the next upcoming issues.

This is not true.
Marvel has written really powerful black male super heroes over time by the way.
So it's not rare and have been written well.
Some more then others of course.

Rage,war-machine,phastos,luge cage(in comics his strength increased over time),maxam,the meteor man,fred(james rhodes who is a superman/hyperion type superhero from earth 982),two black captain universes,black thor types have been written,black hulk and black hercules type black men have been written as well and some other really powerful black men and women have been written by marvel over time,just like dc comics and certain other comic companies.

Gentle who is really powerful will be in x-men red.
He is really powerful and black panther made armor to fight the hulk and he has other iron-man type armors to use once in awhile.
Of course normally black panther does not use ironman type armor.

The iron-man and war machine are really powerful.

The neutering, depowering, or death of the very small number of black male heroes that were somewhat prominent in their own way.

This has not been happening to most prominent or famous black male marvel heroes,so i disagree with this view.

Case in point witness the rapid decline of Miles once the influence of Bendis has left marvel.

I don't think this will happen.
You have to stay and should stay positive by the way when it comes to this.

Every instance where a Doombot got blamed for Dr. Doom being not a god among men.

Magneto not being Xorn.

I would love for Marvel to retcon out of existence Origin, Origin II , the Wolverine Origins serie and all that Romulus nonsense Loeb and Way wrote. And please stop calling Wolverine "James", his name is Logan !

Also if Marvel can retcon all those terrible revelations about Xavier we got after House of M, that would be nice too.
