Dido and Rocafort being back makes me happy. Sideways is going to live or die sales-wise by Rocafort's art I fear, and I really want to Derek to stick around. Have to laugh at Sideways being the only title to keep the original artist though.

If he can make it all the way to issue 6 he'll be the only one so far to on six issues straight.

Damn... if the solicit for issue 5 is right, it seems that Ernie will be the one biting the dust, considering the cover for the sixth issue... I'll be really sad if it happens.

I’m kinda upset that they may be introducing the tragedy element into Sideway’s story. I don’t want to see Ernie or his mom die. DC seems to think that every hero needs a tragedy to motivate them these days. If Ernie dies, I guess she’ll be his Gwen Stacy.

That's what I'm thinking. But then, I Wonder how her twin will evolve. Will she end hating Sideways but getting close of Derek since he seems to be Ernie's only friend ? Hopefully, D.C. could be pulling a fast one on us and Ernie won't really be dead, only Derek and most people will think she is. Guess we'll see in June...

I thought the solicits for 5 and 6 seemed flipped? 5 talks about a personal loss, 6 talks about missing a phone call leads to a personal tragedy?

It's possible, but it hasn't been corrected on DC's website, so we'll have to keep an eye out for it, just to be sure.

We all know by now that the covers are basically just general art pieces that have nothing to ever do with the story itself.

So, i'm not sure, but I think that Derek appeared in the first story of Action Comics #1000, among a crowd of other heroes. I'm not sure because his costume looks different Under another pen, and it could be another character, but I don't think so. Thought it would be cool to share it with here, even if he does nothing else in the short story

This issue was fantastic. I love how Derek’s stupidity came back to bite him. I’m really loving FemOsborn as well, she’s a real slime ball. I was a bit surprised by the ending when did he go from wanting to kill Derek to wanting to train him? Regardless another great issue.

I have to admit that Didio has actually done some very enjoyable comics over the years. He definitely needs a co-writer to keep him on track and help with the dialogue but he knows how to write fun stories. The short lived Didio/Giffen OMAC comic is still one of my favorite books.
