Mariko is an interesting pick! I didn't expect to see her on anybody's list.

Wolverine would have made my list seeing as the second generation X-Men (minus Phoenix Force Jean Grey) is my favorite team of all times, but I started to dislike him ever since Marvel paired him up with Storm.

My tastes have changed a lot over the years, I recall my top three characters as a kid were Phoenix, Banshee and Nightcrawler. And Gambit very, very, very nearly made the list. But, when it comes down to it, he's just a bit too "cool".

I'd love to see my five women as a return to the all female team; although I'd probably exchange U-Go Girl for Storm, for practical reasons. Polaris would be there too, seeing as she was on my list until I realised that I just couldn't post this without Illyana and still feel respect for myself.

Througth my Wolverine/X-Men reading marathon, she always stand up for me and now that she is back i want to see her and Logan interact again. Besides supporting characthers are important, if it wasn't for Mariko i would have put Moira here too.

Seems to be a sore spot for most Storm fans, personally speaking i like the idea of the as friends with benefits and i always assume that they have been like that since the Outback era (headcanon of course) so i didn't mind when Aaron just spelled it out loud, i do agreed that the other writters didn't do a great job with it, especially Cornell (he is the second worst Wolverine writter frankly).

With that being said, her fans don't really had to worried about the pairing anymore, Marvel wants to go back to a more classic status quo after years of throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks (most of Post AvsX to be honest), that pairing isn't really a part of that.

Okay, you guys, somebody has got to feel the same way I do. 4 out of 10 on my list are villains with one of my honorable mentions also being a bad guy. There's got to be somebody else out there who also likes the bad guys? Eventhough they are morally backrupt (and it doesn't get worse than Adversary, Shadow King, and Selene, all of whom made my lists), what's a good superhero story without a strong villain?

A good villain?, besides Magneto i had to go with Shadow King (that done in one issue with Xavier and him was awesome) and Sabretooth, their "Might makes right" mentality is very fun when written well.
