I read a few more comics that 1000 in the first year i participated.Not bad at all.
The best i read this year were re-reading of the Amazing Spider-Man by Stan Lee and Steve Dikto and John Romita Sr in the first two Amazing Spider-Man Omnibus.
All though i liked the majority of the comics i read this year.

Donald Duck: Lost in the Andes (Counting as 8 Issues):
This is a stretch of duck stories where Carl Barks might not be at his peak, but has gotten pretty good. Includes the classic square eggs saga.

X-Men: Grand Design #1-2/ X-Men Volume One #1:
Counting Grand Design as four issues. Excellent reimagining of the early X-Men comics giving a unity to the pre-international era.

Journey Into Mystery #31-40: Decent sometimes tame anthology with.

Showcase #4, 8, 13-14: Robert Kanigher's Flash stories have a lot of what makes the series popular, along with excellent storytelling by Infantino.

Death's Hand: Counting as ten 1940s issues. The black & white collection of Jack Davis' war stories (typically written by Harvey Kurtzman) might be the best Fantagraphics EC book I've read. There's an emphasis on the cruelty of the then-contemporary Korean War, and disasters in military history.

All-Star Comics #8, Sensation Comics #1-12/ Wonder Woman #1 (Wonder Woman stories): Counting as ten 1940s comics. Very idiosyncratic introductions to a legend. It's a series that quickly finds a working dynamic.

Best of the batch: I'd go with the Korean war stories of Jack Davis from Death's Hand. They show people pushed to their limits in very interesting and beautifully illustrated ways.

And since I wanted to read so many comics from different decades, I'll do a "Best of" for the year.

I did forget about a goal of 100 comics by five writers. I might've accidentally exceeded it with Stan Lee and Kirkman (mainly because I read all of Invincible), and come close with Jason Aaron (largely thanks to a Thor reread and soem Wolverine), Dan Slott (thanks to Silver Surfer and Spider-Man), and Nick Spencer (Captain America, Spider-Man, Superior Foes, Avengers World)

I've had a rough year with little time to read so in a way it's a miracle I read this much...i dont know of ill participate in 2019 becuase i have a feeling i wont read as much as i have in previous years as i deal with tje repurcussions of this year....anyway Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody. ..here's to a better 2019 with .more reading!

Allot of changes in my life for the positives, espically work and lifestyle was a major focus of my life so I got behind of reading, I am hoping for a Better chance to reach my goals next year in 2019 since 2018 was such a change around for me, but a Great Year Non-the Less!
