Been about a month since my last update.

Thor #337-355: Excellent epic that builds on the Thor mythos (in both the Marvel Universe and Norse sense of the word) while adding new stuff with incredible storytelling. The big question is whether this is the best Thor story ever (as the larger Surtur saga) or several of them (The Beta Ray Bill opening, Malekith the Dark Elf, Surtur)

Preacher #1-7: Excellent start. The main characters are immediately well-developed, and some of the big stories are seeded, even if the initial concept (a literal search to find God) is eventually lost.

Green Lantern- Mosaic #1-18: Dated in its take on multiculturalism and race relations, and dependent on knowledge of what was going on the regular Green Lantern book, but it is an interesting sci-fi fable of many weird aliens (and humans) forced to live together, and a hero who is going slightly mad.

Fatherland (Equivalent 6 Issues): Nuanced take on a family tragedy as a woman recalls her mother fleeing an abusive husband, and then learns what made her dad so broken.

Jar of Fools (Equivalent 6 Issues): Solid black and white graphic novel about a damaged magician and the people around him.

Captain America Sam Wilson #9/ Steve Rogers #1-3: The issues between Standoff and Civil War II set-up the bold status quo of Hydra Cap.

    And some Spider-Man:

True Believers Antman and Wasp...On The Trail of the Amazing Spider-Man
Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man #53-54
    Amazing Spider-Man Volume 2 #25-28:

Total So Far: 636 Issues, Six from the Golden Age, 10 from the 1950s, 35 from the 1960s, 78 from the 1970s, 31 from the 1980s, 48 from the 1990s, 100 from the 2000s complete, 100 from the 2010s complete

Best of the batch: Thor- The Surtur Saga.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

    UPDATE:

Irredeemable HC v4-5 (16) - After finally tracking down v4 I was able to finish up the series. It took some interesting turns towards the end, but wasn't that memorable overall imo. I did enjoy the epilogue.

Jack of Fables HC v2 (16) - Again, i have to recommend this series to fans of Fables. I enjoy that it doesn't take itself too seriously, as evidenced by the humor that's sprinkled throughout.

TMNT IDW HC v7 (14) - Keep picking these up for my Turtles fix, but haven't been as drawn to the latter volumes. I don't think the quality has changed much overall though, so it may just be me.

*Currently working my way through Morrsion's Batman and the Gotham City Sirens Omnis. I gave up on NTT v1 for the time being, it's officially been reshelved lol

Dunno,i have not read the Tintin stories in many years.
The four stories that i had read recently are great though.
The two part story that starts in the Seven Crystal Balls and is concluded with the Prisoners of the Sun is good example of a great Tintin story arc.
In these two stories i think the world exploring theme of the Tintin stories is something that for sure makes this a must read Tintin story arc.
Secrets of the Unicorn and Red Rachams Treasure are another of a two part story arc of the Tintin stories that is a good read as well, but not as good, as the story that starts in the Seven Crystal Balls.

    157. Flash 49
    158. Flash 50
    159. Peter Parker 306
    160. Peter Parker Annual 1
    161. marvel two in one 7
    162. Giant-Sized Defenders 4- This was one of the few Squadron Sinster/Supreme Stories I hadn't read yet. I loved it. Surprisingly it's also a great Yellowjacket story!
    163. Infinity War 1
    164. infinity war 2
    165. infinity war 3
    166. infinity war 4- This is my first reading of this story. After reading the first four issues, I suddenly want to read a Dr. Doom/Kang team up- buddy-cop style!

That's 166 down and 834 to go. I need to read about 5 comics a day to meet the 1000 goal!

Captain America: Sam Wilson #10-21/ Steve Rogers #4-15: I've been meaning to read Secret Empire, so I've been catching up on Spencer's Captain America run on Marvel Unlimited. It reads well and raises some interesting questions, as the two parallel Caps have different adventures and goals. It might be a bit padded, but it is an interesting status quo, even if one that can be quite off-putting. I think it's compelling to see the idea of Steve Rogers as a a moral avatar weaponized by the bad guys.

Avengers World #1-16: The story's convoluted, with 14 issues devoted to four simultaneous threats faced on the Avengers, although the focus on individual heroes keeps it readable, and reveals some interesting stuff about them and the Marvel Universe.

Preacher #8-24: Probably one of the best stretches of any comic book run ever, with Jesse's encounter with his family, the introduction of Herr Starr, and the ultimate rescue mission. It might go too far, but while it is absurd it is fun, and takes advantage of a perverse fully-realized set of characters.

Flash Volume 2 #62-73/ Green Lantern #30-31: Mark Waid's first year on the title has a decent origin for Wally West, and some shorter encounters with classic villains. It's solid set-up, and a bit telling how much more readable Waid's chapters of a Green Lantern crossover are than Gerard Jones'.

Amulet Volumes 1-2 (15 Issues Worth): Good beginning to an all-ages fantasy series as a girl discovers a family secret and a new world. There are a lot of concepts (elves, an inventor's loyal robots, a visually interesting disease) but they merge together pretty well.

Is This Guy For Real?: The Unbelievable Andy Kaufman (6 Issues Worth): Decent memoir of Andy Kaufman focusing on his love of wrestling and search for meaning within that.

Total So Far: 726 Issues, Six from the Golden Age, 10 from the 1950s, 35 from the 1960s, 78 from the 1970s, 31 from the 1980s, 76 from the 1990s, 100 from the 2000s complete, 100 from the 2010s complete

    Best of the batch: Preacher
